Half Dome – June 3, 2017

June 3, 2017 by John

Just one day after climbing Mt. Whitney, the crew met up in Yosemite Valley at about 9pm.

Getting there was pretty interesting. Eric and Jeremy and I cruised from Lone Pine through Bakersfield.  On our way, we stopped by the Merced Airport to pick up Amber who had flown in on a $19 flight from Oakland. Sketchy.

Lo and Z had driven in from SF earlier in the day. We parked our 2017 Ford Escape Titanium Edition and met the girls at the patio of the pizza place for some carb loading.

After a quick nap (or not) in the car, we stashed our food in a bear locker and hit the trail around 1:45AM.

Jeremy put this awesome video together to commemorate the rest of our adventure.

About

The name.

The name Outright Exposure is inspired by a quote from Helen Keller.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Our mission.

Our mission is to inspire you to live a life of adventure, to push your limits and explore the world, and to do things you’ve never done or thought possible.

Life is a daring adventure. Push your limits.
